Strengthening Bilateral Cooperation: Consul General Yan Yuqing Meets with Carloha Sales Director

On January 6, Consul General Yan Yuqing met with Zhao Qiang, Sales Director of Carloha Company, the Nigerian national agent for Chery Automobile, and his delegation. Xu Fan, Director of the Bilateral Affairs Office, also attended the meeting.

Consul General Yan highlighted that in recent years, leading Chinese automotive enterprises, including Chery Automobile, have actively responded to the "Belt and Road" Initiative, accelerating their expansion into overseas markets. This effort has significantly boosted the international visibility and influence of Chinese automotive brands, achieving remarkable progress in brand internationalization.

He encouraged enterprises to seize the opportunities of the present while planning for the long term, emphasizing the importance of pragmatic cooperation with Nigeria in areas such as automobile sales and bilateral trade. Yan urged companies to leverage technological innovation and high-quality services to provide Nigerian consumers with superior transportation options. He also advocated for stronger brand awareness through impactful local activities, fostering a positive image for Chinese enterprises and aligning with local development.

Zhao Qiang provided an overview of Chery Automobile's sales performance and operational strategies in Nigeria, along with plans for the future. He affirmed that, under the guidance of the Chinese Embassy and Consulate in Nigeria, Carloha will actively work to expand bilateral trade, enhance the global reputation of Chinese automotive brands, and contribute to the high-quality joint development of the "Belt and Road" Initiative between China and Nigeria.
